Aluminium cans & Printer cartridges As part of the Section Global Conservation Challenge badge and group environment award, we have to make an ongoing contribution to conservation so we are continuing to collect Aluminium cans, Printer cartages and Mobile Phones for Recycling, this also raises much needed group funds.
Car boot sale We hold a Car boot sale whether permitting every first Sunday of the month in Partnership with Upper Calder Charity Assist (UCCA) on Todmorden High School Sellers set up time 8am, Buyers arrive 9am, Pitch fee £5. In April 2000 the Government introduced a scheme where Groups such as ours would be able to claim back any tax at the standard rate of income tax on subscriptions and donations made to the Group as long as the donor is a tax payer. The Group has been registered with the inland revenue and we have successfully run the scheme for several years.
