Group Polo Shirts, Pocket books / power packs and neckers are available from your section Leader,

We no longer supply full uniform to our members, we do however recommend one stop Scouting, uniform from one stop is 10% cheaper than the high street

Subscriptions.

Membership fee payable upon joining and every September is currently £30

Aluminium cans & Printer cartridges

As part of the Section Global Conservation Challenge badge and group environment award, we have to make an ongoing contribution to conservation so we are continuing to collect Aluminium cans, Printer cartages and Mobile Phones for Recycling, this also raises much needed group funds.

Car boot sale

We hold a Car boot sale whether permitting every first Sunday of the month in Partnership with Upper Calder Charity Assist (UCCA) on Todmorden High School

Sellers set up time 8am, Buyers arrive 9am, Pitch fee £5.

All the proceeds go to (UCCA) Upper Calder Charities Assist are a local organisation working with local people, local organisations and local businesses to raise funds for the Upper Calder Valley.

Gift Aid,

In April 2000 the Government introduced a scheme where Groups such as ours would be able to claim back any tax at the standard rate of income tax on subscriptions and donations made to the Group as long as the donor is a tax payer. The Group has been registered with the inland revenue and we have successfully run the scheme for several years.

Other fund raising

We also hold other fundraising events at many of Todmordens events (Carnival, Fun days and car boot sale) throughout the year so if you see us please come and say hello.

Scout Group Chaplains,

As we are sponsored by St Marys we are also lucky enough to have Rev Owen and Rev Jeanette as Scout Leaders/Chaplin’s their role as well as active Scout leaders is to provide

· A spiritual element for campouts and troop meetings

Provide spiritual counselling when needed or requested
Provide opportunities for all members to grow in their relationship with God and their fellow Scouts.
