Core badges

 Explorers

Known as Border Explorers we meet on Thursday evenings, from 7.30pm till 9pm at Ferney lee School. Our leadership team currently consists of Jon Pat, and Matt (Section Leaders) The Explorer Scout section is for Young People aged 14 to 18.

They make up the fourth Section of the Scouting family. We have both Males and Females in our Unit. Explorers Scouts is all about encouraging and developing all our members in leadership, independence and teamwork, appropriate to their age and ability.

As an Explorer Scout, you will get the chance to work with other Explorer Scouts in your District, not just your Unit. By doing this, you will get the chance to do many more activities, not just the ones your Unit organises.

We actively encourage participation I the D of E award as well as the Scout Award scheme with the crowning Glory being the Queen Scout Award and the Gold D of E award.
