Contact Akela (Cub Scout Leader) | CubsWe meet on Tuesday evenings, from 6.30pm till 8pm at Ferney Lee School. Our leadership team currently consists of Jon (Akela Section Leader) Anya (Sheer Khan Ass Section Leader) Matt (Baloo) Rachel (Mowgli) Hamish and Chris (Young Leaders / Helpers) . The Cub Scout section is for Young People aged 8 to 101/2. We have both boys and girls in our Pack, with up to 30 members. There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting and gang show. If you complete the tasks given you will earn a badge which you can wear on your uniform. Cub Scouts also go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks etc. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of the Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities. Although during winter months we stay in Scout hostels. The Pack runs for the benefit of the young people but we do need adult support to keep the pack running. Your active support will be needed to help and encourage all the young people in their endeavours within our Pack. There will be times when we as Leaders will need to approach you for extra help. This may be in providing extra transport or with a particular activity. We believe we are a friendly and approachable bunch of Leaders. If you find you have any concerns or questions. The best time for us to be able to talk to you is at the end of any Pack Night. The Cub Scout Promise is:
